Open Diff – What would you mix and match to make the perfect car?

Good news, everyone! I have just invented the Patented Miracle Mystery Adapter, which is not at all based on the spackling properties of Torgo’s Executive Powder. This means that you and I and shkle can now adapt any part of any car to any other part of any other car. All body parts, all drivetrain components, all chassis sections are now universally interchangeable.

More importantly, this also means that you and I and shkle can now have the exact vehicle of our dreams. Want a Bentley-nosed Cadillac with a Caterpillar backhoe and a Stanley steam engine? Easy as pie. An Olds 4-4-2 station wagon with a Ford dually rear axle and British lorry twin steering front axles? You can make two. Whatever combination you can conceive, for whatever purposes you may have.

I once knew a guy who took a small sports car frame and put a 58 Edsel front end and rear end and made it into a two seater. It was unique and looked great.

There was a vendor at the Pate Swap Meet in Fort Worth a couple of years ago that had a vehicle that was “constructed” using the SHORTENED body of a late Austin-Healey Sprite/MG Midget…dropped onto the frame of a military-surplus M274 Mechanical Mule!!!
Either that person started with two junkers…or he/she ruined two good vehicles to do it…

My “fantasy” new vehicle is probably a Ford Fusion Hybrid, with a new 5.0 Coyote V8 in front.
