New Turtle Wax Headlight Restoration Kit

Headlight Lens Restorer

Last year I ran an article about how to restore headlights when they get cloudy or yellow. I used a Turtle Wax product, appropriately called “Headlight Lens Restorer,” which did a great job at restoring them to a clearer look. One thing I did notice, however, was that it didn’t take long for the headlights to cloud back up – a few weeks and I could tell they were starting to get oxidized again. This is because the solution in the kit didn’t contain a protectant or UV blocker, which is what causes the oxidation in the first place.

This year at the Turtle Wax Blogger’s Summit, they announced that the new lens restorer kit includes a lens sealing wipe that will help keep the lens clear for longer. You can pick this up at your local auto parts store. Good deal! The stuff works really well, and I’m glad Turtle Wax listens to their customers to the point where they make big product changes based on their feedback.

Hi,yes this is a very good kit.It has the foam-backed sandpaper which is easier to use than the sheet stuff and not as messy.I did a few vehicles in my area which did not repond to plastix or bluemagic or rubbing compound with a drill and pad or a high-speed buffer. The turtlewax did a much better job and isn’t hard at all to do and no tools required.
